According to a recent court complaint, former Miami Dolphins standout cornerback Xavien Howard texted a male adolescent a sexually graphic image of the teen’s mother after she declined to get an abortion.
A woman who is not the teen’s mother claimed this on Thursday in a lawsuit she filed last year. The woman who filed the action claims Howard, 30, covertly recorded them having sex and shared the footage with others. She claims Howard also disseminated sex recordings that she had consented to produce without her permission.
The lady’s attorneys want the teenager, who is now 18 years old, to be a plaintiff in the case against Howard, who the Dolphins released last offseason to save money and is now a free agent. The adolescent is the kid of another lady who, according to lawyers, had a connection with Howard and was filmed having sex with him. That lady did not sue Howard.
“Xavien Howard works via intimidation and force. “Wherever he goes, destruction follows, and the lives of two people have been irrevocably altered as a result,” said lawyers Cam Justice and Adriana Alcalde in their brief. Â “Mr. Howard denies the claims and looks forward to prevailing in a court of law,” stated Howard’s attorney, Ted Craig.
In the initial case, filed under the alias Jane Doe, a lady claims she dated Howard for many months in 2022. A few months after their breakup, she got an Instagram post from a lady who said Howard had given her sexually graphic recordings of him having sex with numerous women, including Doe.
That lady informed Doe that Howard had emailed her the recordings after she rejected his sexual advances. Another lady contacted Doe in April 2023, claiming Howard had given her films after she turned down his advances. Doe said that she permitted Howard to film their sexual activities once, but that further tapes were made without her knowledge.
In the most recent motion seeking to add the adolescent as a plaintiff, he claims that in September 2022, his mother and Howard were arguing about her unwillingness to get an abortion. The lady claims Howard is the child’s father. According to the lawyers, Howard sent the adolescent a picture of his mother having sex “in his ongoing crusade to debase and humiliate” the lady, causing “severe emotional distress” for the child.
“Howard’s conduct was outrageous and went beyond all boundaries of decency,” Justice and Alcalde said in their complaint. The lawsuit seeks damages exceeding $50,000. There have been no criminal charges brought.
Howard spent eight seasons with the Dolphins, who picked him up from Baylor in 2016. He intercepted 29 passes in 100 games and was named in four Pro Bowls.
Howard’s output has fallen over the last two seasons due to injury. He dealt with groin issues in 2022 and was restricted to 13 appearances in 2023 due to hip and foot injuries.
