This Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints face off in a matchup of two undefeated teams. Sure, itโs only Week 2, so the undefeated label might not carry much weight yetโbut itโs still exciting to say.
Both teams enter this game riding high after dominant victories in Week 1. Now, theyโre looking to build on that momentum and keep their winning streaks alive as they prepare for a key early-season showdown.
The Dallas Cowboys cruised to a 33-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, showcasing a dominant defensive performance in Cleveland. With Micah Parsons leading the charge, the Cowboys’ defense will aim to maintain that high level of play against the Saints’ offense.
Meanwhile, quarterback Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense had a more subdued outing, accumulating only 265 total yards. The newly signed $60 million quarterback completed 24 of 45 passes for a modest 169 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions. Despite the win, thereโs room for improvement on the offensive side as Dallas prepares for their next challenge.
โWe left a lot of meat on the bone,โ Dak Prescott acknowledged. โWe didnโt finish them off when we had the chance.โ
On the other hand, the New Orleans Saints delivered a commanding 47-10 thrashing of the Carolina Panthers. To be fair, the Panthers are widely regarded as one of the leagueโs weakest teams, and they struggled to contain a Saints offense that was firing on all cylinders.
Quarterback Derek Carr was on fire, completing 19 of 23 passes for 200 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. Meanwhile, the Saintsโ ground game was equally impressive, amassing 180 yards on 37 carries, with Alvin Kamara leading the charge with 83 rushing yards.
The matchup will unfold at AT&T Stadium in Arlington this Sunday, with kickoff scheduled for 12 p.m. CT.
