Just last week, a fire broke out at the Nashville, Tennessee, house of wide receiver Randall Cobb and his family. Cobb’s wife Aiyda posted, “We are lucky to be alive.”
Aiyda Cobb shared on her Instagram account this week that a Tesla charger “caught fire in the garage late last night and quickly spread” throughout their house.
“We got out of the house with nothing but the clothes on our back and no shoes on our feet,” she said.
The Cobb family has three young boys.
In an Instagram post that he made with his wife on Wednesday, Randall Cobb said that he was able to return to the home and save their dog, Louie.
Cobb complimented the Nashville Fire Department for their “quick action.”
“I can’t get the picture of the courageous fireman getting into position out of my mind; he didn’t even have any water to shoot with. I genuinely believed the vehicles would explode, and we would lose him in this catastrophe. Cobb wrote, “He is a true hero.” “Unfortunately, we do not know how much, if any, will be recoverable, but this has served as a reminder that nothing is more essential than our family’s health.
“We are grateful for our incredible community in Nashville, and the support from our close friends that have given us a temporary roof over our heads and shoulders to lean on.”
The Instagram post contains footage of destroyed autos and considerable fire damage to the garage.
This past season, Cobb, who is 33 years old, was a free agent after playing with the New York Jets. He spent ten of his first 12 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, finishing seventh in team history with 532 catches, tenth in touchdown receptions (47), and eleventh in receiving yards (6,316).
