According to the latest reports, in season 1, Power Sportz Premier League plans to organize 4 championships covering 4 areas in India. After which a final for the winner of season 1 of PSPL will take place for the season 2020/21
Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the dates of PSPL are not yet disclosed by the channel. However, the first championship should start with the northern zone to be held in the Delhi / NCR area, and Gurugram should be the venue for the first championship, as discussions for a cricket ground in Gurugram are already underway.
The 50 players who have been shortlisted to play Power Sportz Premier League have a Ranji Trophy, Vizzy Prophy, and U19 World Cup level of play, which clearly confirms that PSPL starts with cricket leagues.
According to an insider, the next 50 players for the northern zone championship will be preselected in the next 45 days, because Ms. Kanthi has already set a deadline for having 8 confirmed teams for the northern zone of the PSPL, by the end of May . The second PSPL championship will be for the southern zone, and the site for the same would be Hyderabad; however, there is so far no confirmed information on this subject.
Ms. Kanthi is personally involved in planning the activities of the league so that no stone is left without return. According to reports, all teams will play under the Power Sportz banner in the first season. Initially, 32 teams would play the championship, and out of 32 teams, the 8 best teams would be selected for the next season.
