Mourinho hails Ancelotti, and says the Italian is not a social media coach

Jose Mourinho, a former Real Madrid manager has praised Carlo Ancelotti after the Italian led Real Madrid to yet another UEFA Champions League title. Real Madrid won 2-0 against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium. With this victory, Ancelotti has now won the Champions League five times as a manager and has become arguably the most decorated European coach of the time. Mourinho, who was a pundit on the day, had a lot of positive things to say about Ancelotti’s old-school coaching style.

Though Real Madrid were deserved winners on the night, they were pegged back for large periods of the game. During the first half, the likes of Karim Adeyemi and Nicolas Füllkrug had great chances to score the opener but neither showed the required composure needed at that level.

Jose Mourinho who recently was appointed as the head coach of Fenerbahce, will be roaring to go as prepares to launch himself back immediately into European football management and probably win another major trophy of his own as well.

As you would expect, there is an air of expectation and massive celebration in Turkey, with the announcement of Jose Mourinho’s appointment as manager. Fans of Fernabache should not slack in getting tickets to watch their beloved side in pre-season and during the season proper. Fenerbahce Tickets are available at an online resale store.

How the final happened

The Champions League final was a dramatic match. Real Madrid scored two late goals to secure their win. The first goal was scored by Dani Carvajal in the 74th minute. Then, nine minutes later, Vinicius Junior scored the second goal after Jude Bellingham intercepted a bad pass from Ian Maatsen. This win gave Real Madrid their 15th Champions League title, and further rubber-stamped their imperial dominance in the Champions League. They are no doubt the kings of the competition at this point.

Borussia Dortmund had many chances to score, especially in the first half. Karim Adeyemi had a great opportunity but messed it up when trying to go around Real Madrid’s goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois. Niclas Fullkrug also came close when his shot hit the post. In the second half, Fullkrug had another good chance, but his powerful header was saved.

Real Madrid was under a lot of pressure, but they managed to score when it mattered most. Dani Carvajal’s goal came from a corner, which changed the game. After that, Jude Bellingham took advantage of a mistake by Dortmund’s Ian Maatsen and assisted Vinicius Junior to score the second goal, putting the Brazilian forward in a good position to win this year’s Ballon d’Or award.

Mourinho’s High Praise for Ancelotti

Jose Mourinho, who has won many trophies himself, called Ancelotti a “proper coach.” Mourinho said, “He’s not a social media coach, he’s a proper coach. He comes from a meritocracy. Go to his office and see how many medals.”

By this, Mourinho meant that Ancelotti has earned his success through hard work and talent, not by being popular on social media.

Carlo Ancelotti’s ability to lead his team to victory, even under pressure, is one of his greatest strengths. This latest win means Ancelotti has now won the Champions League five times as a manager, which is a huge achievement. Mourinho admired and noted how Ancelotti’s Real Madrid team could stay humble and adapt their play style to win against strong teams like Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

Mourinho also highlighted how important it is for big clubs like Real Madrid to be humble and adaptable. He said, “This is Real Madrid, they can be humble. Sometimes it can be hard for the big clubs to have that humbleness. When they played against Man City, to beat them they had to change their philosophy. Ask Real Madrid fans if they were happy to change their philosophy. They don’t sell a philosophy, they put cups in the office.” By this, he was stating that Real Madrid focuses on winning trophies rather than sticking to a fixed style of play.

Many fans and football lovers may or may not agree with the Portuguese manager. Some may perceive the notion that the Portuguese are trying to defend his prudent philosophy, by praising Ancelotti who is also known to be versatile with his tactics including going defensive if the need arises.

Rio Ferdinand Agrees with Mourinho’s submission

Rio Ferdinand, who was also a pundit for the game, agrees with Mourinho. He also praised Ancelotti’s old-school approach. Ferdinand said, “Don Carlo, that’s the only way you can talk about him now. That humility comes from him. He’s the guy that guides this team and makes them feel comfortable to take a backward step. We see so many teams nowadays and it’s about controlling the ball and the game, he has that humility to say that we may have to win this game a different way and this team is capable of doing that.”

Ferdinand also admired how Ancelotti kept calm and adjusted his game plan during matches. He noted, “You’ve got to be able to maneuver your game plan and he does that, he doesn’t panic. That’s the big word. They ride those waves and because of the quality they’ve got at the top of the pitch, the back players and the midfielders can feel comfortable soaking the pressure up and then bang!”

Conclusion

Carlo Ancelotti’s success with Real Madrid shows that experience, humility, and adaptability are key to winning in football. Jose Mourinho’s praise for Ancelotti goes to show how much respect he has for the Italian and how he respects the fact that the veteran manager is content being a “proper coach” who earns results through hard work and persistence rather than just being popular on social media.

Ancelotti’s approach and ability to stay calm under pressure have helped him win the Champions League five times, making him one of the greatest football managers of all time. He has built a reputation as a manager with few words and he will surely be remembered for that.
