Micah Parsons discloses the only NFL team he would play for, separate from the Cowboys

Micah Parsons is one of many Dallas Cowboys superstars who are reportedly in the market for record-breaking contracts

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Parsons, who was formerly regarded as an inside or outside linebacker, swiftly became one of the NFL’s most vicious pass rushers.

He also plans to eventually surpass Justin Jefferson, a wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, as the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. It’s always conceivable that Parsons discovers the bag somewhere else.

While he has no interest in playing for a team other than the Cowboys, Parsons told Clarence Hill Jr. that if he does wind up playing for another team, he may return home and play for the Pittsburgh Steelers rather than the Philadelphia Eagles.

Mike Tomlin’s tenure as head coach was a factor in Parsons’ decision to sign with the Steelers. Even though it’s very unlikely, it would be spectacular to see Parsons rush the passer opposite T.J. Watt. Among edge defenders in 2023, Parsons had the highest pass-rush win rate at 35% and the most pressures at 103.

With a career-high 14 quarterback takedowns last season, he has steadily improved from his 13 sacks as a rookie to his 13 and a half sacks in 2022. Parsons has amassed 40.5 sacks in only three seasons with the team, which is more than any player in league history.

It remains to be seen if Parsons can outperform Jefferson’s four-year, $140 million contract, but he is projected to top Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers, who inked a five-year, $170 million extension with $122.5 million guaranteed last September. Every pass rusher can’t compare to Bosa’s $34 million AAV.

Dallas must also work on re-signing CeeDee Lamb, who is in the last year of his deal. Parsons may become a free agent after the 2025 season. Parsons has 40.5 regular-season sacks and concluded 2023 with a career-high 14 sacks.
