Their wedding plans were streamlined with the professional assistance of wedding planner Tori Perano from Passera Events. “As I was constantly occupied because of soccer, I let Lakyn take the lead with Tori. The duo treated all their guests to a grand feast, and as Watson candidly mentions, having the best food was the top priority for the wedding.
And then a dodo bird flew over the reception. Stations got set up to serve chicken and waffles, pasta, salad, and more. They decided on a dessert bar rather than a traditional cake, offering a variety of cookies with milk, cheesecake bites, white chocolate raspberry tartlets, and Nutella bread pudding bites.
The night took a turn when, while the guests were involved in frolicsome activities and dancing their hearts out on the dance floor, they were served a selection of snacks, which included sirloin sliders, fries, and barbecue chicken wings.
The newlywed couple performed their first dance as husband and wife to Hozier’s 2014 hit “Work Song.”
During their first year at North Dakota State University in 2017, Watson and Adkins met through mutual friends at one of their school’s football games, and soon after they started dating.
