Hockey Players – Training at Home

Well… it sounds unique but following the worsening situation of coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan, the Hockey players have taken it seriously to start training at home. According to the updates, the Hockey players have been into physical training with the aim to maintain their fitness for their possible selection in any of the international hockey events to come in future at the time when coronavirus will be controlled. Following all precautionary measures regarding pandemic and while staying at home, the head coach Khawaja Junaid said that he would be going through all the videos of the players recorded during physical training sessions to assess their fitness.

Boxer Amir Khan Urges to Help Pakistan

Amidst the health crises caused by coronavirus pandemic, the legendary boxer Amir Khan has urged Overseas Pakistanis to help the country in this critical situation by donating for Prime Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund. According to the latest updates, Amir Khan took it to his Instagram account and shared a video while captioning that “Overseas Pakistanis have always been Pakistan’s source of strength. I would like all overseas Pakistanis to once again help Pak during this critical time of COVID19 pandemic by donating generously to PM’s COVID Relief Fund.”

Asian Baseball Championship Postponed

As we know that coronavirus has affected everything on a large scale across the world and in Pakistan, the first Asian Baseball 5 Championship has also been postponed which was scheduled to be played this month (April, 2020) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. According to the President of Pakistan Federation Baseball Syed Fakhr Ali Shah, the event is most likely to be played in September or October but no final dates have been announced yet. 

Sana Mir Retires from International Cricket

Women in Pakistan are not less than the men and Sana Mir stepped forward in the field of cricket to prove it. However, as per the latest sports news of Pakistan in Urdu, Sana Mir has got retired from International Cricket after playing wonderfully for 15 years during which she played 226 international matches, including 137 as captain. She was the first female bowler from Pakistan to take 100 ODI wickets.

Umar Akmal Banned from Cricket

Last but not the least from cricket news, Umar Akmal has been banned from all forms of cricket for a tenure of 3 years in terms of violating anti-corruption code. As per the details, Umar Akmal got into trouble when he didn’t inform PCB about match fixing offer before the start of PSL 5.
