Philadelphia Eagles began the 2024 season having their new coach Nick Sirianni under lots of pressure. During his time, the team did not record for any losing season but the decline in 2023 became a problem and his sideline attitude became an issue of concern to the players and all the staff. However, the heat has been on Sirianni after the Eagles went 2-2 into this season and the inconsistency in both offense and defense has not helped matters.
The head coach of the Indianapolis Colts Frank Reich has also faced public and media pressures to have Sirianni fired after an alarming 33-16 loss to Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, the head coach says he does not spend time worrying about his position on the endangered list of coaches likely to get a sack next. Here he is also very focused on the fact that it is necessary to build actions further and meet the present problems square on.
‘We are this team is 2-2,’ Sirianni said, noting the Roots’ poor performance in the previous season as not a factor in the current campaign. He pointed at youngsters on the team such as Saquon Barkley, Mekhi Becton, and others who do not care about past matches and are only concerned with the next match. Going 5-2 after the bye week or going 5-2 after the bye week against this team cannot happen and it cannot happen without fixing the problems that have occurred, but dwelling on past failures is not going to do anything.”
This perspective is perhaps more relevant to the fans and the analysts to date and maybe still comparing the team with their prior performance. In response to that, Sirianni seems to lean toward a proactive outlook, to prepare the team and its followers for the rest of the season.
