Green Bay Packers all-time leading passer Brett Favre called Jordan Love on Sunday morning after the young quarterback paid him a touching tribute before the game in Lambeau Field. Love who will be starting for the first time since week 1 because of a knee issue, honored the pride of the Packers by wearing a retro Favre jersey during the warm-up.

He responded with a post, expressing his appreciation: This is why I appreciate Jordan Love in as far as he is wearing this old man’s jersey. I really didn’t believe I could like Jordan, until this morning.”
This warm gesture was made after Favre opened up publicly on Monday about his struggles with Parkinson’s disease. During the welfare reform hearing he revealed that one core fund beneficiary, Prevacus, is developing a possible cure for concussion among others. “Sadly, I also lost an investment in a company that I believed was developing a breakthrough concussion drug I thought would help others,” Favre said. ‘Well, what with Parkinson’s I have just been diagnosed with I hope this is also something close to your heart’.
Favre’s health is always a concern in Green Bay and with the Packers getting ready to take on the 3-0 Minnesota Vikings, this issue is now as pressing as ever. Most importantly, this is a player who has enjoyed his entire career in the NFL playing for both the Teams.
